Transcript Week 3 DB: Data Collection.

For my future teaching career, I believe that spreadsheets can be a useful tool to collect data from students. First, I will teach my students to insert the specific data in the spreadsheet and compare the results of the data collection strategies. I plan on using spreadsheets for mathematics and social studies. I also believe that Student Response Systems (SRS) software programs or combination of handheld hardware that permit each student to answer a question simultaneously can be beneficial as well. The SRS has been successful when used in science, mathematics, second language communication, and English language arts (Roblyer, M. & Hughes, J. 2019). I have not used these tools as yet, because I am not teaching at the moment. However, I do use lists, and spreadsheets is like making lists. Spreadsheets can help with organizing and data collection.
